Hasbro falls victim to cyber-attack

In a twist, Peppa Pig and Transformers are now dodging digital threats.

Toy and entertainment giant Hasbro has confirmed being hacked, with parts of its website showing error messages. The breach was discovered on 28 March, though it's unclear if customer data was compromised or if the hackers remain inside their systems.

‘While this is an unfortunate incident, Hasbro’s business operations remain open,’ a spokesperson told BBC News, adding that swift action has been taken to protect its systems and data. Some systems have been taken offline as a precautionary measure.

The company warned of potential delays in product deliveries due to the breach, stating that measures are being put in place to continue taking and shipping orders for several weeks. However, these could result in some delivery disruptions.

This incident comes amid other high-profile cyber-attacks on retailers and businesses across the UK this year, including M&S, Co-op, Harrods, Jaguar Land Rover, Asahi and Gucci.
