If you're a watch lover, Hiyd might just be the answer to your prayers. This innovative health tracker attaches to the back of your existing watch, offering a sleek solution to health monitoring. The Hiyd disc, about the size of a coin, uses microsuction technology to stick securely to your timepiece, ensuring it stays in place without leaving any residue. It measures essential biometrics like heart rate and sleep quality, syncing seamlessly to your smartphone.
Founder Salah Batroukh, who previously worked at Apple, aims to provide a more user-centric product. 'We don’t think that health tracking needs to be this overly conscious decision where you have to change something about the way you look,' he said. Hiyd’s goal is to blend seamlessly into your daily life, enhancing rather than interrupting it.
The Hiyd app goes beyond simple tracking, offering insights into how your diet affects your sleep and workout performance. Users can expect features that provide personalized health advice, helping them make informed decisions based on their data. As the company prepares to launch a Kickstarter campaign, the future of wearable tech looks set to offer a more stylish and practical approach.
For Batroukh and his team, the key is to create a product that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. 'One of the reasons I left Apple was a lot of the products became a little bit more about being an Apple product, rather than being something for the customer,' he explained. Hiyd represents a return to customer-centric design, ensuring that tech doesn’t detract from the beauty of a cherished watch.
