Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’ll have heard of the Rocco smart fridge—a retro-styled mini-wine cooler that doubles as a digital inventory manager. The current sale offers a $200 discount on select colours, and an added bonus of a free case of Laurel's Lattes with every purchase.
Former WIRED contributor Andrew Watman praised its smart app, which allows you to view your fridge’s contents and control lights and temperature from afar. He was particularly impressed by the fridge’s recognition of obscure drinks like OoMee algae-infused beverages and Kirkland Signature sparkling water.
The new Rocco Essential, released this fall, is a more affordable option with a sleeker design. It holds 77 cans and comes in only three colours—Cream, Sage and Graphite—compared to the Classic’s 88 cans and four colours. It also houses the same compressor as the Classic, capable of reaching the coldest temperature ever made by Rocco, at 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
While it may not be the best deal Rocco has ever offered, the convenience of knowing exactly what’s in your fridge without having to open it is hard to beat. And who wouldn’t want a free case of gut-friendly coffee drinks on the side?
