Oto Smart Sprinkler: Solar-Powered Genius or Overpriced Nonsense?

Is this smart sprinkler truly a game-changer, or just a thirsty investment in your wallet and garden?

The Oto Smart Sprinkler promises to revolutionize outdoor watering with its solar-powered simplicity. However, does it justify the hefty price tag?

Unboxing the Oto is like finding a miniature sprinkler hidden within a compact 16 x 12 x 4-inch package that weighs about 6 pounds. Its petite size makes placement versatile—ground, hardscape or fence mounting options are available with an included bracket. However, for cordless operation, it needs at least three hours of direct sunlight daily.

Before outdoor use, the Oto requires a night’s charge via wall power or sunshine, thanks to its internal 5,400-mAh battery and top-mounted solar panel. The app controls everything, though there's a manual switch for those impatience moments. It covers up to 5,000 square feet with water thrown in a 360-degree radius from the device, matching similar models like Aiper.

While Oto's streamlined design and cordless operation are innovative, its price point is steep. Is it worth the investment for just a bit of garden automation? The jury’s still out on whether this smart sprinkler truly sets itself apart in a crowded market.
