Nothing’s AI Glasses and Earbuds in the Works

As AI gadgets proliferate, could Nothing’s vision become reality?

A London-based tech firm, Nothing, is reportedly gearing up to release smart glasses next year, according to Bloomberg. The glasses will come equipped with cameras, microphones and speakers, connecting to smartphones for processing AI queries. CEO Carl Pei initially showed reluctance but now envisions a multi-device strategy, expanding beyond smartphones.

In tandem, the company plans to launch AI-enabled earbuds this year. Last year, Pei hinted at an AI device release in 2026, keeping fans guessing. Competitors like Meta and Apple are also rumoured to be getting into the smart glasses game next year.

While Nothing has gained a cult following with its innovative designs, it still faces stiff competition from established giants. CEO Pei believes innovation in both hardware and software is key, as seen in their recent AI app-creation tool.
