Gemini Spark, Google’s AI agent that aids in digital life aspects, is now available on the Mac. The app will work with files and more apps like Google Tasks and Keep, competing with other desktop AI agents.
Users can soon assign multi-step tasks to Spark on their phones, while on the computer they can sort and organize files or use them as sources for new documents. For instance, invoices can be turned into budgeting worksheets.
Gemini Spark for macOS (beta) is only available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S., but it has already integrated with Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable and Zillow Rentals, making Spark capable of performing a variety of tasks from reserving tables to booking apartment tours.
Additionally, real-time tracking and event reactions will improve its performance for tasks like following sports scores or breaking news. Custom Model Context Protocol support means users can connect their favorite apps directly into Spark, creating an assistant better tailored to their needs.
