Samsung has unveiled its latest smart glasses, promising impressive specs like 9-hour battery life and collaborations with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The designs are boxy, but the tech inside is promising.
Unlike some competitors, these glasses look almost like normal eyewear — a crucial step towards mainstream adoption. With a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip under the hood, they’re set to deliver features like message summaries, live translation and camera functionality that won’t go unnoticed.
The privacy concerns remain, but Samsung’s promise of automatic blocking if the recording LED is obscured might just quell some fears. Whether consumers will embrace this new technology remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like we’re moving in the right direction.
