While the Anker Nebula P1 projector excels in sound quality, its absence of a built-in battery makes it less than ideal for true portability. Detachable left- and right-channel speakers create a spacious audio experience, though they require additional charging. The Google TV interface with official Netflix support is a nice touch, but the device's bulk and lack of obstacle avoidance features make setup cumbersome.
Despite its shortcomings, the Nebula P1 still delivers an enjoyable 1080p image in dark rooms, with a LED light source rated at 650 ANSI Lumens. However, it struggles to compete against ambient light, limiting its utility during daytime setups. Its sound is comparable to speakers the size of soda cans, but users can still enjoy it as a standalone Bluetooth speaker.
The projector’s noise level is impressively low, measuring just 26dB, though this might be less noticeable in real-world conditions due to other noises present. The Nebula P1 offers limited battery life for its speakers and does not include a subwoofer, making bass-heavy tracks sound thin. Users can still use it as an impromptu movie projector with the right setup.
