Family location-sharing app Life360 has expanded its pet-tracking capabilities with new $7.99 scannable tags and integrated GPS trackers, bringing peace of mind to pet owners.
The company’s latest move comes after integrating lost-item-finding features from its acquisition of Tile, allowing families to track everything from keys to pets. Since last year, more than 8 million pets have been added to Life360 accounts, but not everyone wants a bulky tracker on their pet's collar.
New scannable tags provide contact information and alert the family via the Life360 app when scanned, aiding in locating lost pets and keeping track of them even after an escape. Other new features include care logs to manage feeding, walking, and medication schedules, ensuring everyone knows when it’s their turn.
The company is also rolling out fun features like 'Zoomies Alerts', which record bursts of pet energy throughout the day, and a Weekly Roundup to recap routines and care provided by family members. The new offerings are now included in Silver subscriptions, making them more accessible.
