Google’s NotebookLM is stepping into the future with its latest update, powered by Gemini 3.5 and enhanced to handle a wider range of file types.
This upgrade includes a significant boost in processing speed and efficiency, allowing users to save on token costs while enjoying outputs that are just as good or even better than before. The new model is now integrated into NotebookLM, which was launched at the start of 2023 amidst the AI boom, enabling it to analyze documents and webpages with ease.
Notably, Google conducted side-by-side evaluations and found that NotebookLM performs about 65 percent better in accuracy and quality tests compared to its predecessor. The updated software also comes equipped with a cloud computing feature, allowing users to run complex code more efficiently through Antigravity.
This new functionality promises to streamline the research process, breaking down the need for multiple app switches as NotebookLM can now handle everything from note-taking to coding within one interface. It’s an exciting step forward in AI technology that could transform how we work and collaborate online.
