However, now CEO Kelly Ortberg is optimistic about progress, stating that the spacecraft’s redesign is ‘going quite well.’ The main hurdle lies in lining up a launch date with NASA to ensure the International Space Station is ready for cargo delivery.

The previous mission's failure highlighted critical issues with Starliner's propulsion system. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunny Williams were forced back to Earth on a Crew Dragon, but now it seems Boeing has made significant strides towards resolving these problems.

Ortberg’s comments suggest that while the technical challenges are nearly resolved, scheduling remains the primary obstacle. NASA needs to ensure there is an open docking port for Starliner and enough time allocated for unloading supplies. With this in mind, a crewed flight might finally be on the horizon, bringing hope for future space missions.
