Meta’s social network, Threads, is rolling out new features to help podcast creators grow their audiences and engage with listeners directly on the platform. These tools include podcast profile cards, tappable episode links, and even reminders for creators to post new episodes.
With these updates, podcast hosts can now post transcripts, tag guests, and allow users to save episodes for later listening. The platform is also providing insights into audience engagement, helping creators understand how their content is performing.
While X has been encouraging its creators to post videos, including podcasts, to grow engagement, Threads aims to make the platform a central hub for posting and discussion. The new tools could significantly enhance the user experience, making it easier for listeners to discover and engage with their favourite podcasts.
Threads is now closer to X in terms of user numbers, with Meta’s social network reaching 500 million active users in June. Whether Threads can maintain this momentum and attract more creators and listeners remains to be seen.
