Omega's 007 Watch Collection: Bond Without the Bond

When the movies are silent, the watches speak. Or maybe just Omega.

It's been five years since James Bond returned to the big screen, but Omega has decided to keep the good times rolling with a new 007-themed watch collection. Despite the lack of a new film, the company has launched six Seamaster Divers, dividing them into symbols of good and evil – James Bond and Spectre.

While the non-limited edition watches cost a substantial $8,600 each, the limited edition sets priced at $89,800 offer more opulent options. With each set including a variety of accessories, these watches are not just timepieces but a comprehensive collection of Bond paraphernalia.

Omega's decision to proceed with the collection highlights the significant impact that Bond films have had on the company's sales. As the brand's president once admitted, the films have a 'very marked influence' on sales, a fact that Omega is now capitalizing on by creating these watches without a film to tie them to.

Although Amazon's ownership of the franchise might have dampened expectations, Omega isn't waiting around. The company has a history of leveraging its Bond connection, including a game-themed chronograph and anniversary editions. It seems that even without a new film, the legend of 007 lives on in the form of these meticulously crafted watches.
