Bose QuietComfort 2nd Gen: Still Quiet, Less Than Certain

Bose's latest headphones are good, but their crown may be slipping.

Bose’s QuietComfort Headphones 2nd Generation offer excellent noise cancellation and comfort, but fall short in battery life and price.

The headphones are lightweight and comfortable, with good noise cancellation that matches many of their premium competitors. However, battery life is not impressive, and the price point is close to that of better-performing headphones.

Call quality is a significant issue, with users reporting sounding quiet during calls. While the design and sound quality are top-notch, the inclusion of wireless high-res audio support remains a notable absence.

Despite their strong performance in key areas, the QuietComfort 2nd Gen face stiff competition from models like the Sony WH-1000XM4C and Nothing Headphone (1), which offer similar or better features for a lower price.

Bose’s dominance in the market may be waning, as newer players introduce innovations that meet or exceed their offerings.
