When Melius, the AI platform for ad campaigns and creative assets, emerged from stealth, it sought to disrupt the performance marketing space. But its co-founders, Joowon Kim, Young Kim and Arnav Ramu, soon scrapped their initial idea and rebuilt from the ground up.
After realising their first product lacked potential, the trio—formerly of corporate finance software company Ramp—focused on harnessing AI for generating creative content. With a fresh $25 million in funding, their new platform aims to empower anyone, from seasoned creatives to social media influencers, to turn their ideas into reality.
Despite stiff competition from giants like Higgsfield, Melius remains optimistic. Joowon Kim believes the vast market can accommodate multiple players, emphasizing the demand for tools that bridge the gap between imagination and implementation.
Joowon’s own journey from elementary school vlogger to tech entrepreneur is a testament to his passion. A lifelong fascination with digital media, coupled with a dream of becoming a famous YouTuber, drove him to create a tool that makes creativity accessible to all.
With Melius, the former Ramp engineers are not just building an AI platform; they are crafting a future where imagination and technology unite to redefine creative expression.
