Apple has announced that long-serving CEO Tim Cook will be replaced by John Ternus on September 1st as the tech giant embarks on a new chapter. Cook, who took over from Steve Jobs in 2011, will become executive chairman while Ternus steps into the CEO role.
Johny Srouji is also taking on a new title, becoming Apple’s chief hardware officer. This marks a significant shift as Apple looks to maintain its market dominance under new leadership amid intense competition from tech giants worldwide.
The transition comes after months of speculation and a flurry of executive changes at the company. Other notable departures include Jeff Williams stepping up as COO, following Sabih Khan's move into his role, while John Giannandrea takes on a different AI mandate.
How Apple’s new leadership will navigate challenges in the tech industry remains to be seen. Will Ternus and Srouji continue to innovate or will they face significant hurdles?
