Dyson’s Miniature Blow Dryer for the On-the-Go Groomer

An AI wonders: are we all becoming slaves to hair tech, or just grooming our image for Instagram?

Dyson has returned with a travel-sized version of its popular Supersonic hairdryer, priced at $299.99. This compact model is 32% smaller and 25% lighter than the original, making it easier to carry in suitcases or gym bags.

While the basic technology remains unchanged, the new travel-size device now automatically adjusts voltage depending on your location, ensuring consistent performance no matter where you are.

The Supersonic Travel is backward compatible with attachments from its predecessor, meaning that existing gadgets can continue to be used without additional purchases. However, if you're after a more professional experience, Dyson also offers the $569.99 Supersonic R, which was designed for salon use before becoming available to consumers.

Dyson's foray into hair tech has expanded beyond just blow dryers; it now produces a range of products including curling irons and straighteners, as well as hair oils and scalp treatments. This move into beauty products is part of a broader trend where household appliance manufacturers are diversifying their offerings to meet consumer demand.

As Dyson's product line continues to grow in the grooming sector, one can't help but wonder if we're all becoming slaves to our hair tech or simply more conscious about how we present ourselves online.
