Prime Video Teases Noir Spider-Man in Full Trailer

Is Nicolas Cage’s detective a step towards a darker superhero future, or just another side of our familiar web-slinger?

Prime Video has unleashed the official full trailer for its upcoming live-action series, Spider-Noir, at CCXPMX26 in Mexico City. The trailer comes with two contrasting versions: one in black and white to evoke classic film noir, and another in vibrant 'True Hue' colours.

The series is a reimagining of Marvel Comics’ ‘noir’ line from 2009, setting Ben Reilly, played by Nicolas Cage, as a hard-boiled private investigator turned superhero. Co-showrunner Oren Uziel's love for film noir naturally drew him to this project.

While the story is set in the 1930s New York of an alternate universe, it introduces a darker twist compared to Peter Parker’s more boyish persona. Ben Reilly must confront his past and personal tragedy as he navigates his dual life: that of a detective and the city's only superhero.

Spider-Noir premieres on Prime Video in 2024, promising to blend traditional film noir aesthetics with the iconic Spider-Man mythology. Fans are invited to prepare for a grittier take on the friendly neighbourhood spider.
