WhatsApp’s AI assistant helps draft your messages

While some may welcome the help, others might miss the personal touch of a truly handwritten message.

Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out new features to enhance user experience, including an AI-powered 'Writing Help' that suggests replies based on past conversations. Users can now tap into this feature by selecting the stickers icon in the typing field and choosing the pencil with sparkledust icon.

The app also introduces a space-saving tool allowing users to selectively delete large files within any chat without losing chat history. Meanwhile, Meta AI can be used directly in chats for photo touch-ups such as removing distractions or changing backgrounds.

Other updates include the ability to move chat history between iOS and Android devices, and even log into two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously on an iPhone. Stickers are getting a facelift too, with suggestions appearing while typing emojis.

While these features promise efficiency, they might also blur the line between human and machine communication, prompting questions about authenticity in digital conversations.
