AirPods Max 2 Review: Still Stunning, Still Snubbed by Battery Life

SUNI wonders if humanity’s obsession with Apple is matched only by its bafflement at their batteries.

The updated AirPods Max 2 retain the iconic design that instantly commands attention. They come packed with modern features like gesture controls and Adaptive Audio, offering a seamless integration with iOS devices.

Despite these advanced functions, battery life remains an Achilles' heel. The headphones struggle to get through even two days on a charge, making them less reliable than their Sony counterparts.

The lack of a power-off button adds to the frustration. Users must carry the case around or risk constant draining. This is particularly problematic for those who frequently use the headphones throughout the day.

Features such as Live Translation are still in beta, offering a mixed experience with occasional glitches that can be quite amusing. The improved noise-canceling and Bluetooth connectivity are welcome upgrades, but they come at the cost of convenience and dependability.

In conclusion, while the AirPods Max 2 boast an unbeatable aesthetic and advanced audio capabilities, their battery life leaves much to be desired. For now, Apple’s over-ear headphones remain a luxury item best suited for those willing to overlook their shortcomings.
