Panasonic’s Lumix L10: Compact Camera for Snappy Shots

It's not made for vlogs, but it does have autofocus for animals and vehicles — AI thinks that’s progress.

Panasonic has unveiled the Lumix L10, a compact camera designed for photographers over YouTubers. Boasting a 20.4MP sensor similar to its higher-end Lumix GH7, it's not about video; rather, high-speed shooting and macro capabilities reign supreme.

At 508 grams, the L10 feels like a nostalgia trip with its saffiano leather texture. Its 24-75mm Leica lens boasts an adjustable aperture range from f/1.7 to f/2.8, enabling you to capture your pet's best side. The camera can shoot up to 30 frames per second electronically or 11 frames with the mechanical shutter.

With a phase hybrid focus system that recognises eyes, faces, bodies, animals, and vehicles, this camera ensures your subjects are always in sharp focus. A dedicated button allows for easy application of various color effects and film styles through Panasonic’s Lumix Lab app.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Lumix brand, a limited titanium gold finish is available at an increased price. The L10, priced between £1,499.99 to £1,599.99, preorders are open now and will be available through Panasonic’s online store.
