Samsung is getting set to unveil its latest generation of foldables, with some leaks giving us our best look yet. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Z Flip 8 are said to feature a wider form factor, similar to a passport, with a selfie camera embedded in the cover display.
These new designs could see Samsung rebranding its more familiar narrower foldable as the Z Fold 8 Ultra, suggesting that the wider model might be the flagship of the line-up. The launch is expected at the company's summer Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22nd, likely beating Apple to a wide-style iPhone foldable.
While these leaks provide exciting glimpses into Samsung’s future devices, they also highlight how companies are constantly innovating in smartphone design. Will we ever be satisfied with just one shape of phone?
