Despite smartphones' prowess, standalone point-and-shoot cameras are making a comeback. Enter the Godox C100, a slim camera that bypasses traditional color screens in favor of a transparent LCD serving as both viewfinder and light meter.
The C100’s minimalist design offers a multifunctional viewfinder displaying battery life and shooting settings. It can even function as a rudimentary light meter, suggesting exposure based on the scene framed within it.
With four aspect ratio options and storage up to 128GB via microSD card, the C100 caters to various shooting needs. However, its lack of wireless connectivity means transferring photos happens over USB-C. At just ¥199 or around $29, it's a budget-friendly option for enthusiasts.
The Godox C100 has launched in China but international release remains unclear. As point-and-shoot cameras gain traction again, perhaps more innovative designs will follow suit—hiding the LCD behind glass might be next!
