Reddit is phasing out r/all, a feed that showcased popular posts across the platform. Now, users should check r/popular instead for trending content. The move was part of an experiment to simplify Reddit and improve personalisation.
The company initially removed r/all from its apps in December but deferred the change as an experiment. After concluding it, they announced that the final steps to deprecate r/all are being implemented. Users on old Reddit can still access r/all for now. Meanwhile, r/popular may undergo further changes as Reddit rethinks its global feed experience.
Reddit has also introduced new default privacy settings for teens, rolling out in early April. Under-18s will no longer be able to have followers and their profiles will remain hidden by default. This move aims to provide greater privacy for young users on the platform.
