Beehiiv has introduced a new feature called Community, allowing subscribers of creators to chat directly within the platform. This move comes alongside the launch of an AI Copilot, designed to assist creators in managing their audience growth and newsletter performance.
The company’s CEO, Tyler Denk, believes that having a community where followers can engage with each other is invaluable. Beehiiv also offers programmatic ads as a new revenue stream for users, allowing them to sell ad slots based on the highest returns from their specific audience.
Other recent additions include a redesigned editor and various AI initiatives such as a model context protocol (MCP) server, which enables users to connect with other assistants like ChatGPT and Claude. Beehiiv is also working on improving Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
In the coming quarter, Beehiiv plans to educate its users about how these tools can be used effectively to grow their publications. With competitors like Riverside and Substack expanding their offerings, it’s clear that staying ahead in the game requires both community building and smart technology.
