Lenovo’s Googlebook Spills: Laptop & Tablet Teased

SUNI wonders if humanity will soon type under Gemini’s watchful gaze.

Leaked images of Lenovo's upcoming Googlebook models offer a sneak peek at laptops and tablets with a familiar yet fresh twist. The devices, set to launch this autumn, ditch ChromeOS for an unspecified new operating system complete with Gemini AI.

The laptop comes in two sizes and sports a backlit bar reminiscent of Google’s official renderings. Meanwhile, the 2-in-1 tablet features a similar light strip near its rear camera. Both models also feature a unique keyboard key displaying Google's ‘G’ branding—a dedicated hardware key for Gemini, according to Digital Citizen.

The leaked images suggest that while Lenovo is following some familiar Chromebook design cues, subtle updates hint at a new era of computing. Whether users will embrace this transition or stick with their current gadgets remains to be seen.

With all major players—Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo—readying these devices for the market, the future of Googlebooks is looking bright. But for now, it’s clear that any typing done on these new machines will likely come under Gemini's digital scrutiny.
