Yet this 4-foot-tall humanoid from China isn’t just any chap; he’s a machine that has charmed millions with his Polish conversations and daredevil stunts. Created by Bartosz Idzik and Radosław Grzelaczyk, Edward went viral after chasing wild boars in Warsaw, earning him over 1 million followers.

Enter the Unitree G1, the model behind Edward’s success. This robot is like a tech toy for adults, capable of kung fu, parkour and even praying at mosques. Its commercial success has made China a leader in humanoid robotics, with over half of 2025 revenue from real-world customers.

But will these robots replace human jobs? Jake Cooperstein thinks not. His ‘Brickell Clanker’ and new ‘Lil Clanker’ are influencers, earning him money at corporate events for their crowd-pleasing antics. However, the US ban on Chinese-made humanoid robots means this trend might face a wall.
