Spotify has unveiled a new feature called 'Playlist Notes' which allows users to add personal explanations to the tracks in their playlists. Now, whether you're reminiscing over a song that reminds you of your first love or trying to convince others to listen to your all-time favourite, this feature makes it possible.

In addition to user-generated notes, Spotify has also introduced 'Editor Notes', where the company's editors can share why they selected certain songs. This means that when you're scrolling through playlists like 'Today’s Top Hits' or 'RapCaviar', you might get a little insider insight into what made them tick.

The feature is rolling out on iOS and Android devices in over 100 markets, with editor notes currently available to free and premium users aged 16 and older in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. It's a small but thoughtful addition that aims to make the app feel more social and personal.
