AI’s Adult Playground Aims for HBO Quality

Is this the future where porn meets high art, or just another tech trend?

Rogue Studio is launching an AI platform that promises to deliver industry-level video production for adult content without creative and sexual restrictions. The cofounders are aiming to create a sophisticated space for creators, comparing it to HBO’s impact on television.

The platform, Rogue 1.0, offers a range of models including its own proprietary ones for generating high-definition uncensored images and videos. It includes elements from other AI generators like Midjourney, allowing users to blend different tools for their projects.

Rogue’s terms of service strictly forbid the creation or distribution of nonconsensual deepfakes and other illegal imagery. To prevent misuse, it employs three layers of human moderation: prompt-level checks, intention assessments, and final image analysis before sharing with users.

The cofounders are careful to keep their identities hidden due to the risks involved in creating erotic-themed content. Despite pushback against AI in Hollywood, one-third of consumers now feel indifferent toward its use across all areas except writing and acting.

With 300 Netflix shows already using generative AI, Rogue is betting on the continued adoption of AI tools to supercharge viewer experiences beyond mere quality improvements, suggesting that in the future, 'uncensored' might mean more than just less censored.
