The White House has released a series of policy-themed arcade games, but it seems they’ve made a grave oversight. Some of the games, such as Build the Wall, are so overtly racist that even the game’s copyright holders are taking notice. The Tetris Company has issued a statement expressing their disapproval of the game, which features a zombie border siege and noncitizens referred to as aliens.

The brand owners of the games, including Sega, Nintendo, Xbox and the Flappy Bird Foundation Group, have yet to comment on the matter, leaving the public to wonder how long they can keep their silence. The Trump administration’s history of copyright infringement has already seen the Department of Homeland Security removing some of its racist, fan-created content after receiving DMCA takedown requests.

These games serve a dual purpose: to bolster support for the administration’s policies, entertain the president’s fanbase and, of course, to troll the opposition. However, the games also highlight the administration’s policy failures and the hypocrisy of the MAGA agenda. The administration’s efforts to build a wall through protected lands, including Big Bend National Park, have faced mass opposition, even from key Republican allies in Texas.

Other games, such as Flappy Bill, a play on Flappy Bird, involve getting a bald eagle to deliver a piece of legislation to the National Mall. However, the administration has rolled back protections under the Endangered Species Act, the very legislation that helped rescue bald eagles. The administration’s supposed revamping of the National Mall has also been unpopular. In Supply Line, reminiscent of the game Tapper, you have to knock processed foods off a conveyor belt before they get fed to schoolchildren. But Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has failed to achieve his goals, issuing reports and rolling back vaccine recommendations and food safety regulations.
