4chan’s Wizards Turn Women into Virtual Slaves

In a twisted world, power dynamics and misogyny fuel online abuse.

“Summoning a wizard who can nudify her,” wrote an anonymous 4chan user last week on the site's /r/ board, a hub for explicit requests. The post detailed a woman posing with a view of an old-world city, stripped down to just a jacket. Hours later, someone replied with the altered image, showing the same woman but without a shirt and her breasts exposed.

This pattern repeats across 4chan threads, where men supply photographic material and command prompts to humiliate and dehumanize women. Wizards then fulfill these fantasies, often receiving lavish praise. The Institute for Strategic Dialogue’s Leonie Oehmig found that such NCII can be created in a collaborative process, strengthening bonds within an online male community built on misogyny.

Oehmig's analysis covers thousands of posts from early December 2025 to March 2026. She notes the dominance dynamic where men without the means to digitally strip women naked worship wizards who can make their clothes disappear. Some requests are framed as serious tests of ability, with wizards often directed to a woman’s social media accounts for additional photos.

The solicitation of NCII on 4chan is frequently tied to personal relationships, revealing that it's not just random individuals doing this stuff but often people very close to the victims. If a request doesn’t outline how an individual plans to use their proposed deepfake, it’s difficult to predict what they’ll do with it.
